The single-serve gadget is surprisingly tiny for satisfying our double caffeine addiction, measuring in at 5.7 inches wide and 9.6 inches tall. The Duo is designed in a way that keeps the coffee from ever touching the drip spout, promising that the product is the purest it can be. With an aluminum and tempered glass body, the Y5 uses iper coffee and espresso capsules, containing illy’s signature blend that features nine different types of sustainably-grown Arabica beans. The pods have little filters that are designed to brew rich, smooth, full-bodied coffee. Currently, you can get medium and dark roast capsules, with decaffeinated options coming in the spring. Sure, the Y5 Duo doesn’t have extra trinkets like milk steamers and warming pads, but it definitely simplifies our morning routine and sometimes that’s all we want.
