From the Cat Care Society's Festival of Felines to the Singles in the Garden Weed Dating event – sadly not as fun as it sounds – and last but not least the Vans Warped Tour at the Sports Authority Field, the city of Denver is offering up an odd but fun assortment of events to make the weekend as lively as possible.

You like cats.

I know you do. You won't stop giggling like a schoolgirl when you social media them. (I'm turning it into a verb.)

If not, you're mean. They're soft and have cute faces. (Unless you're me and allergic to them. Then we have a reason to not be able to motorboat a plump kitty's armpit. Achoo!)

Saturday, the Cat Care Society, 5787 W. Sixth Ave., Lakewood, is holding a Festival of Felines for its annual fundraiser where it will host Tails of the Painted Cats -- a tour of local cat sculptures all painted to each artist's design.
