Image via focustaiwan.tw Biking in Taipei just got a little easier with the city's expansion of the novel YouBike bicycle rental service. With 4 new stations adding to the convenience of the service, bikers in Taipei will have an easier time getting to a few key locations and saving a bundle on gas and carbon emissions while doing it.
Taipei City opened four new YouBike bicycle rental stations Thursday, bringing the total number of such stations around the city to 68, in its efforts to provide a convenient cycling service.
The four new YouBike stations are at Taipei Metro National Taiwan University Hospital Station, the Gongguan campus of National Taiwan Normal University, the Youth Park, and on the intersection of Qingnian and Guoxing roads near the Youth Park, according to the city's Department of Transportation.
The department said the number of YouBike users on a single day hit a high of 31,864 on May 24.
