Last week, Cabo San Lucas’ Esperanza resort unveiled its latest culinary offerings which range from private margarita butlers to themed dining nights and vintners' dinners showcasing the great wines of Chihuahua. The programs come on the heels of the resort’s recent completion of its revitalization that transformed all guest rooms, dining venues, pool areas and public spaces.
One of its programs, the Floating Lounge, a unique new venue for hosting intimate gatherings. Set on the Sea of Cortez and accommodating up to 25 people, the lounge offers guests a chance to not only enjoy cocktails and bites but also water sports such as stand up paddle boarding, parasailing and snorkeling. The three-hour fiesta includes private butler service and a live DJ. The package begins at $1,500.
From June 9-12, the resort will host A Taste of Cabo, an annual gourmet food and wine festival showcasing the best of coastal Baja cuisine interpreted by Executive Chef Guillermo Gomez. Joining him will be two guest chefs and contestants on Food Network’s Iron Chef America, Kent and Kevin Rathbun. The epicurean affair includes tequila tastings, cocktails under the stars, barbeque pool party, live cooking demonstrations and a five-course gala dinner. Packages start at $3,705 for the weekend.
