Beautiful people, beautiful sea and one heck of a beautiful yacht — how could we not sit up and take notice of the Four Seasons Maldives’ annual Surfing Champions Trophy? Self-styled as “the world’s most luxurious surfing competition” (though Fiji and Biarritz might argue), it gives hotel guests the opportunity to mingle with top surfers like defending champion Damian Hardman, Brazilian pro Pedro Henrique and Tom Curren, a family-man surfer who'll be back this year with both his sons. surfing at Surfing Champions Trophy

A special “Surf & Stay” group package ups the ante by taking people out on instructive “surf safaris” so they can practice some of the pro’s moves themselves. The package is only available for a minimum four-room, five-night block. Surfing Champions Trophy
This year, the event takes place August 26-September 2, but the learn-to-surf offering is available throughout surf season (until September 30) at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa. If you're a surfer you won't want to miss the action and if you aren't, we're sure you'll find plenty of eye-candy to keep you interested. Surfing Champions Trophy
