AAA Five Diamond hotel, Fairmont Scottsdale Princess just announced a new spa concept that is slated to open January 1, 2013. Well & Being at Willow Stream Spa will be one of the most comprehensive health and wellness complexes in the country, and is the first luxury resort in the United States to implement the both the medical and customizable elements included in the program. Nutrition, wellness, fitness, skincare, and integrative medicine will combine to provide guests with a total package to improve health and happiness.
The most unique quality of Well & Being is the personalized service. Diagnostics, specifically-targeted skincare treatments, and a variety of treatments which blend Eastern and Western therapies will combine to help guests reach optimal health. In addition, guests will be guided through their individual programs via an iPad and set-up with an online profile. After their visit, guests can log on-to the hotel’s e-magazine which will allow for a socially interactive connection with the Fairmont's wellness team, helping to promote year-long motivation.
Dr. Low Dog, Chief Medical Office of Well & Being said, “Resort guests will benefit from having easy access to services during their stay and online support long after they leave the property. It’s this on-going relationship that distinguishes the Well & Being program, creating a progressive wellness experience unlike any other, allowing guests to maintain their desired health/fitness plan and goals outside the resort, receiving motivation through community engagement and year-round online and local support from leading practitioners and providers.”
Willow Stream Spa will feature studio space for a variety of fitness activities, from yoga and tai chi to CrossFit and “immersive Rip Surfer Classes.” State-of-the-art equipment will allow for the most contemporary expression of fitness, such as the Aerial Yoga classes and Virtual Active technology that takes cardio routines to the next level. Personal trainers will be on-staff to tailor unique fitness routines and to help achieve goals. The total wellness experience will be open to hotel guests and day visitors alike, who can shop inside the boutique lifestyle store and enjoy treatments inside 44,000 square foot spa complex, complete with locker rooms, steam rooms, full-service salon, and rooftop pool.
