New Yorkers won't have to travel too far, or even board a ship for a taste of Celebrity Cruises's award-winning global cuisine this winter. The premium cruise line's James Beard-featured chef and Director of Culinary Operations, John Suley, will be bringing his cuisine from sea to land this week with a pop-up restaurant dubbed "A Taste of Modern Luxury" and located at The Kitchen NYC. In 2012, Suley and his team of corporate chefs had the honor of being the first cruise line to cook dinner at the legendary James Beard House in New York.
At the pop-up restaurant, Suley will prepare favorites from Celebrity's onboard menus, such as Five-Spice Crusted Cervana Venison Loin with celery root fondant, as well as new items inspired by the culinary flavors of Manhattan. Master Mixologist Junior Merino will also be in attendance for several seatings, preparing unique libations from The Molecular Bar, which are featured onboard Celebrity Solstice Class ships.
Tickets are $40 for a three-course lunch and $75 for dinner, including cocktails from Merino and thoughtfully paired wines and local brews. Lunch and dinner will be served daily from Tuesday, January 29 through Friday, February 1 at The Kitchen NYC located at 146 East 44th Street in Manhattan. When purchasing a ticket, attendees will be entered for a chance to win a Caribbean cruise for two on a luxurious Celebrity Cruise ship and all proceeds from ticket sales will support the Celebrity Cruises Scholarship at The Culinary Institute of America.
