This fall Joie de Vivre Hotels will open 184-room Troubadour in New Orleans in the Central Business District. The property, housed in a 17-story landmark building, will pay homage to the spirit of The Big Easy with Southern-inspired touches and locally-rooted experiences.
Designed by Campo Architects and interior design firm Paletteur, the hotel features a warm palette with patinated finishes and geometric patterns. Each space within the will also have its own distinct identity and the guestrooms will boast a modern aesthetic with subtle touches of New Orleans culture, mysticism and music. Rooms will come with retro-style refrigerators, locally-sourced items inside mini bars, full length windows, two person bar tops, and bathrooms with Jonathan Adler custom-scented bath amenities.
At the helm of its restaurant offerings will be local Chef Phillip Lopez who will oversee the hotel’s three venues: Petit Lion, Lobby Lounge, and Monkey Board. For casual fare, guests can head to Petit Lion on the street level for bistro-like cuisine such as lobster burgers, stuffed deviled eggs, fried chicken and Croque Monsieur. The Monkey board will be located on the hotel’s rooftop and will feature food truck inspired dishes like fish tacos, fried chicken sandwiches and sharable birthday cakes.
Reservations can be made now for stays starting November 4, 2016.
