The Super Bowl is slated for this weekend and everyone is getting geared up to celebrate. The Bud Light Hotel opened up in the Big Easy, transforming a 200-room downtown hotel into a beaming blue NFL getaway. The three-day transformation ended in the creation of a space branded head to foot with Bud Light pride.
However, in addition to the opening of the hotel and the upcoming game this weekend, several big name stars have agreed to a concert series leading up to Super Bowl Sunday. On Saturday, February 2nd music legend Stevie Wonder will headline an evening line-up which will also include Texas born guitarist Gary Clark Jr. O Sunday, two of country’s most popular singers, Eli Young Band and Lee Brice will also perform in an afternoon concert before the game.
The Bud Light Hotel will begin gearing up for the celebrations starting this Thursday with the EA SPORTS Madden Bowl XIX Party featuring Lil Wayne and on Friday when Rolling Stone LIVE will be hosted by international celebrities Pitbull and Flo Rida. If you can’t make it to New Orleans for the parties or the big game on Sunday, the Bud Light Hotel’s live broadcast partner, Myspace, will be streaming select performances from the weekend’s concerts.
Mike Sundet, vice president, Bud Light said, “Music, sports and beer naturally go together, and this year’s Bud Light Hotel lineup, more than any other, blend the three seamlessly into one amazing event.” He concluded, “Our amazing partners and a first-of-its-kind performance with Stevie Wonder will make this a ‘can’t miss’ destination for Super Bowl week partygoers.”
