Cars are much more interesting when combined with art, which is why we’re looking forward to seeing the Jaguar Land Rover sculpture exhibitions at Fuorisalone. Taking place April 14-19 during the international furniture fair Salone del Mobile, Fuorisalone events will be held all throughout Milan, including two unique Jaguar sculptures that mix modern art with automotive design: Word Cloud and Unstoppable Spirit.
Created by Italian artist Nino Mustica and Land Rover design director Gerry Mcgovern, Unstoppable Spirit is made using steel and glass fiber, towering over 22 feet off the ground. Though it first premiered at the Frieze Art Fair in London last year, this will be the first time the colorfully-curved art piece has debuted in Italy.
Word Cloud is from artist Tom Dixion and the sculpture’s aluminum Jaguar’s XE shape is created by 95 words in seven different languages. Also having debuted in London first, Word Cloud is an awesome combination of metal-working, graphic design, and mathematics.
