Since November 12, 2013, Chivas Regal has been welcoming “modern gentlemen” into the Members Club Milano 1909, a space dedicated to men who have high values like friendship and generosity, show courtly manners, and demonstrate a casual chic persona.
Located in Via Tortona in Milan 1-3, and running until December 5, the club represents a time when Gentlemen's Clubs in London offered a place for men to relax and enjoy the small pleasures among comrades. Today’s venue, not open to only men, was created to provide a gathering spot for discussing the best international magazines, listening to quality music and drinking the finest whiskeys.
The members-only club is open to individuals who have been invited to join or through a registration process via a dedicated website. The opening night gala centered around style and a passion for whiskey, music and Movember mustaches. Those participating in growing a ‘stache for men’s health awareness during the month were given a chance to get advice on the growth process by Franco Bompieri of Antica Barbieria Colla, one of the oldest and most prestigious barber shops in the city.
Events take place every Sunday-Thursday from 6 p.m. to midnight with themed nights and music geared toward for the gentlemen of today. On December 5, members will be judged on their mustaches and will be rewarded for the most beautiful one to close out Movember. A win any man would be proud of.
