The international sensation known for turning ice cream into an interactive and insta-worthy adventure is back in Miami, and this time it’s here to stay. The Museum of Ice Cream has opened a permanent spot at Miami Worldcenter, downtown’s latest cultural hub. Spanning 14,000 square feet over two floors, every inch of the space is designed as a candy-colored playground for all ages, with a unique South Florida twist.
A retro-inspired 'Cream Liner,' a 1960s-style luxury airplane, transports visitors into the fun sensory experience, with a flight attendant serving scoops down the aisle directly from an ice cream cart. There are playful Miami-themed surprises at every corner, whether you’re sliding down into the Versace Mansion-inspired sprinkle pool or entering a hidden beach room with pink palm trees in the Grand Hall of Freezers. Each experience, from the banana jungle to the carnival game room with mini golf and colorful pinatas, is meticulously curated to provide a picture-perfect backdrop, blending the vibrant spirit of the Magic City while celebrating all things sweet.
While exploring the different pastel-colored rooms, visitors can indulge in unlimited ice cream.Museum of Ice Cream Miami partnered with sensory scientists at International Flavors and Fragrances to create a multi-sensory tasting experience with tropical themed flavors from local creamery Azucar Ice Cream and plant-based favorite Cosmic Bliss, featuring their new coconut-based soft serve. Cream-themed cocktails are also available during “adults only” hours.
'Living in Miami, and opening a Museum at the Faena Bazaar back in 2018 was a dream for me and changed how I approached designing the past five museums we have opened around the world,' said Maryellis Bunn, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Museum of Ice Cream. “With this Museum being a permanent build, I was able to push the boundaries of design and interactivity, making this the creamiest, most colorful, and tastiest museum yet. You'll see sensory elements from taste, touch and smell incorporated throughout.'
With interactive exhibits, vibrant backdrops, and tasty treats, it’s the perfect spot to bring the kids, sweeten up date night, or celebrate with your bestie. The Museum of Ice Cream is a destination that won’t disappoint, and your Instagram feed will thank you for it.
