Recently the company, along with Quixote Studios, has begun an array of new endeavors to continue to grow and innovate.
Quixote Studios launched 18 years ago when it began as a single trailer pulled by Mikel Elliot himself. That trailer quickly turned into two and then three. Today, Quixote Studios and Smashbox Studios encompass more than 500,000 square feet of production-related space in eight locations throughout Los Angeles, a large array of location vehicles and equipment, and the number-one expendables operation in the city.

Yello! Yello! from Smashbox is a blog giving inside info on the hottest LA intel. Yello! photo shoots, which are posted to the blog, aren't just your average experience. Professional photographers set up shop at hot venues and take pictures of all the guests. But this is quite a bit more than just a quick snap of a lens. Props are set up as well, taking it to the next level and creating a real-life photo shoot experience. Yello! photo shoots have been sighted at a variety of events including Sundance, The Los Angeles Marathon Expo and the Concept show for fashion week Los Angeles. Famed photography duo Markus Klinko and Indrani also worked a high-fashion swimwear photo shoot featuring both established and aspiring models in Leo Carillo State Beach. Dark Room: Newly completed in their West Hollywood location, the "Dark Room" is a portion of Smashbox Studios where A-list celebrities and VIPs can relax and unwind during any down time while shooting at the studio. Michael Jordan, Forrest Whitaker and David and Victoria Beckham have already had a chance to indulge in the new space which includes a lounge area and bar.
