The famous Library Bar has reopened at the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The cozy speakeasy housed in the corner of the beautiful lobby is now open from Wednesday to Sunday evenings.
Cocktails are curated by master mixologist Michael Palazzo (from the MINA Group) and feature fermented seasonal fruits and herbs located from the Hollywood Farmer’s Market.
Up to 20 guests can fit in the intimate space housing comfy brown leather couches and minimal bar seating.
“Library Bar has always been a favorite for both locals and visitors, known for its speakeasy setting and exceptional cocktail craft, so we’ve been waiting for the right moment and concept to bring it back,” says Sumeet Jhingan, Executive Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage at The Hollywood Roosevelt. “With the addition of a master mixologist such as Michael Palazzo, we have improved its offerings with a truly personalized experience, curated for the modern cocktail enthusiast.”
Palazzo asks guests what they like to eat and drink, creating unique cocktails and mocktails based on individual palettes and spirit preferences. We enjoyed custom-made light whiskey, lemon and honey and melon ball-inspired cantaloupe and lemon cocktails and a refreshing peach cocktail with Ramazzotti Amaro, a lovely digestif.
There are also five signature modern interpretations of classic cocktails.
Guests can then head to Shirley’s across the lobby for Sunday night fried chicken, delicious steaks and other French-inspired flare.
The Library Bar and Shirley’s are located in the Hollywood Roosevelt at 700 Hollywood Boulevard.
