Los Angeles was recently recognized for its food scene on May 5, of this year, when Nancy Silverton was named Outstanding Chef by the James Beard Foundation—the culinary world’s equivalent of an Oscar. While most events of the foundation take place at the historic James Beard House in New York City, there is an opportunity to experience the culinary excellence associated with this organization through their Celebrity Chef Tour. Held in select cities throughout the country, The Pedaler’s Fork Restaurant in Calabasas will host the event on June 26, 2014.
Guests will enjoy a multi-course meal prepared by some of the most accomplished chefs in the country and paired with select wines and beers. While enjoying the evening and company of fellow foodies in an innovative, country-casual ambiance, guests can also interact with the chefs who include:
- Chef Gavin Lansdale: Chef De Cuisine at Ford’s Filling Station; Culver City, California
- Chef Sam Baxter: Executive Chef at Connie and Ted’s; Los Angeles, California
- Chef Christian A. Monchâtre: Executive Chef at The Pacific Union Club; Nob Hill, California
- Chef Dan Murray: Host chef of Pedaler’s Fork, Calabasas, California
The menu promises to be seasonal, fresh, locally and sustainably sourced. Dishes will be representative of California cuisine influenced by the countries, regions, training and experience that the chefs bring to the table.
