London’s first members’ club for women has fully opened its doors this month, and JustLuxe was offered a private viewing. Grace Belgravia, the vision of businesswoman Kate Percival, is an exclusive, private club for sophisticated and health-conscious women. My day starts with a tour of the 11,500 sqm club, which is set inside an impressive historic grade-two-listed building on West Halkin Street in the exclusive area of Belgravia in central London.
Inside the club there is an emphasis on healthy eating. So much so, the in-house nutritionists and medical experts have worked closely with their chefs in the creation of a food concept which reflects their passion for natural, raw, nutritionally optimized menus and cooking styles. Members can even enjoy a glass of no-added-sugar champagne or bio-dynamic wine, sip one of the bespoke teas or try the fresh food selections from the raw food, ceviche, juice and broth bars. Portion sizes are “a little,” “a little more” and “a lot” – I choose the latter. The food is delicious, and just enough for lunch before heading to the venue’s spa.
It’s the UK’s first Acqua Calda spa with nine treatment rooms and hamman, offering exclusive and signature treatments from leading therapists using products from some of the world’s most prestigious beauty brands. Some of these brands include Ila, Dr Levy, Chenot and Dr. Hauschka. There are also fitness facilities at Grace, with personal coaching as well as resident GPs and physiotherapists, making sure members find the right program for them. I decide to relax in the steam room instead, leaving others to the effort of a workout.
On joining Grace Belgravia, members receive a full consultation with the professional team including a medical review with one of the GPs, physical fitness and skeletal mobility with the Matt Roberts’ team, skin analysis and nutritional review. The services of the private medical clinic are managed by Dr. Tim Evans, whose credentials include Apothecary to HM The Queen as well as pioneer of women’s health and Medical Director of Grace Belgravia. Furthermore, every member of Grace Belgravia has a personal Angel to help with booking classes, appointments and managing their chosen health programs as well as advising members on retreats and escapes which will be organized in Europe and Asia.
A spokesman for the club said, “As the first members club for women to take a completely integrated, 360-degree approach to the concept of health and wellness, Grace provides advanced fitness, beauty, diagnostic, preventative and functional medicine under one roof and is dedicated to empowering and nurturing women through seven ages of life from young adulthood, through fertility, pregnancy, child rearing, empty nesting, menopause and aging-well.”
Membership dues start from $8,661.95 a year plus a $3,149.80 joining fee.
