“The World’s Best Restaurant” is set to open a pop-up venue at the luxurious Claridge's hotel during the London 2012 Games. Noma, the Copenhagen eatery, which has been given the prestigious title by Restaurant magazine for the past three years, will serve a five-course lunch and dinner menu for ten days, beginning July 28 through August 6. “A Taste of Noma at Claridge's'” marks the first time that Chef Rene Redzepi has taken Noma overseas. The two Michelin-starred restaurant reportedly receives as many as 100,000 reservation enquiries a month, during which it serves a total of just 450 tables.
Located in a Grade II-listed building with 203 rooms and suites, Claridge's is a traditional 'grand' hotel located next to the luxury retail area of Bond Street. The hotel has long-standing connections with English royalty and its main restaurant is currently run by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. Redzepi will be in attendance every day, together with his team of chefs from Noma. Chef Redzepi will be the third Michelin-starred chef to establish a pop-up restaurant in London during the past three years. Noma was voted the World's Best Restaurant in 2010, 2011 and 2012 after receiving votes from 800 gourmet experts. (Photo Credit Claridge's Hotel)
The five-course menu will be priced at £195 at Claridge's Hotel, 49 Brook Street, Mayfair, London W1K 4HR.
