What a crazy few months it’s been for residents, business owners and hoteliers in Los Cabos since the destructive Hurricane Odile swept through the area. And as the city picks up its pieces and puts itself back together, it’s nice to hear some good news coming out of the Mexican destination.
The news? KISS front men Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons opened their second Los Cabos location of their Rock & Brews restaurant at Plaza Bonita on December 5. After the hurricane, their first restaurant was severely damaged and as such, the duo joined the hundreds already involved in the Los Cabos Unstoppable efforts to rebuild and recover the city. The team celebrated the opening with an event at the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf & Spa Resort last week. Welcoming around 400 KISS fans from around the globe, local VIPs and music industry guests, the evening featured live music and complimentary bites.
The new Rock & Brews Cabo San Lucas is of course decorated with a rock-inspired atmosphere and includes the brand’s signature “Great Wall of Rock” alongside hand-painted murals of rock artists, albums and tour art. Restaurateurs Rodrigo Cabeza De Vaca and Jose Arredondo joined Simmons and Stanley for this second location. Serving American comfort food, international and local beers and offering indoor and outdoor seating, the eatery hopes to become a main late-night attraction for travelers and residents alike. Rock & Brews is open Sunday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to midnight.
