Yesterday, the new Envoy Hotel opened in Boston’s Innovation District. This is the Autograph Collection's first property in the state. Outfitted with 136 guest rooms including two luxury suites, the rooms boast floor-to-ceiling windows with views of either the Boston skyline or the waterfront, a large-scale Boston map overlaid on the glass door between the bedroom and the bathroom, and Fresh brand toiletries.
The hotel designed the property to capture the spirit of the Innovation District by repurposing once cutting-edge technology and natural materials. The interior décor uses reclaimed woods, metals and rope—the lobby chandelier is made from old coiled phone cords, artwork is designed using broken VHS tapes, and another mixed-media installation uses lightbulbs and books to recreate the Boston skyline. The property also includes touchscreen workstations, eco-friendly power sources, built-in charging stations and in-room Enseo technology.
The Lookout Rooftop Bar appropriately offers views of the city and water. Here bartenders serve cocktails with fresh ingredients, local beers, including a seasonal house brew, and specialty in-house drinks such as the aptly nicknamed Lookout Punch. The hotel’s Outlook Kitchen and Bar will offer guests locally-sourced cuisine and serve regionally-inspired dishes. With a reservation, guests can also book either the two-seat chef’s table or enjoy a night of private dining.
