Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa has recently announced that in spring 2016 they will be opening their very own Premier Nightclub in Atlantic City. The $14 million, 18,000 square-foot project combines the former MIXX club with the newly-developed space that is meant to ignite the city's nightlife by offering guests a dramatic and theatrical experience.
“As the first to introduce signature bottle service, high-caliber entertainment, and world-renowned deejays to the region, Borgata was a game-changer when it debuted its unique brand of nightlife in 2003,” said Joe Lupo, Senior Vice President of Operations for Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, in a recent press release. “Nearly 13 years later, we felt now was the ideal time to once again redefine nightlife entertainment with a venue designed to rival the top clubs in Las Vegas, Miami, and New York. With its debut, Premiere Nightclub will provide partygoers with an experience that is unmatched in Atlantic City, further reinforcing Borgata’s position as the market-leading resort destination.”
The Premier experience begins with tiered booths that center on the DJ, stage and "digital proscenium." Designed by Josh Held (TAO Las Vegas, Voyeur Los Angeles, Marquee NYC), the club's "main room will be flanked by two 35-foot-long bars with carved-stone faces and pierced-metal and mirrored back bars." A six-foot-wide disco ball surrounded by a 25-foot-wide programmable chandelier will hang above, while a huge staircase featuring bronze filigree leads guests up to a curved mezzanine.
