Atlanta Falcons' new stadium won’t be done until fall 2017, but the team has come up with a pretty great way to help fund the $1.4 billion dollar project. Last week representatives for the team announced a new personal seat license (PSL) plan for the stadium’s reserve seating—which will feature 13 price points that range between $500 and $5,500. The best part? You’ll essentially “own” your seat for 30 years, meaning you’ll already have a spot for when the new stadium opens.
Basically, by buying a PSL reserve seat you are acquiring ownership rights to that seat for the duration of the stadium lease—which in this case is “30 years plus three five-year renewal options.” Benefits include being able to transfer or resell your PSLs whenever you want, the right to buy Falcons season tickets and playoff tickets, and priority when buying for non-NFL events. Plus, anyone who buys PSL seats are guaranteed a price lock on Falcons season tickets for three years starting with the 2017 season.
Around 60 percent of the PSL reserve seats are priced at $2,500 or less, with 87 percent of them coming in at $3,500 or less. There are also a small number of exclusive Founders Club seats that are being offered for a PSL price of $45,000.
