Tomorrow night, Atlanta locals will be gathering at the new Ponce City Market for a celebration of food and art at WonderFarm. From 7 to 11 p.m., local chefs, artists and mixologists will gather together for a night of charity and farm-to-market fare. Guests will be treated to an evening of specialty seasonal cocktails, performances, interactive demonstrations, art installations, a gourmet seated dinner and silent auction to benefit WonderRoot and the Community Farmers Markets. Unfortunately, unless you (or a foodie friend) have already reserved a table, you’re fresh out of luck—tickets to the event are already sold out.
If you are one of the lucky ticket holders, expect to dine on hand-picked selections from chefs Dave Berry of Bellina Alimentari, Sean Brock of Minero, Asha Gomez of Spice to Table and many additional talents. Made with ingredients selected by farmer Joe Reynolds of Love Is Love, the evening’s culinary activities are intended to highlight the event’s beneficiaries Community Farmers Markets and WonderRoot. Both are local non-profits that work to improve the community by making a positive social and environmental impact through food and the arts.
To help support these charities, a silent auction will be held that offers a series of “once-in-a-lifetime” experiences. Items range from photography or salt-making classes to private dinners and farmer’s market excursions with local chefs. If you’re unable to attend, donations are still welcome—and you never know, it may just help you grab a table for next year.
