Music, fashion and movie star T.I. is adding restaurateur to his list of ventures as he plans to open his own establishment in Atlanta this March. Rumored to open in the former Vibe space on Ivan Allen Jr. Blvd., the new restaurant will offer upscale Southern cuisine, though no menu has been released yet. Reps confirmed "an official announcement, sharing complete details, is planned for the coming weeks."
While T.I. may be investing in his hometown, the restaurant is not the only thing in the city undergoing repairs. A new trolley has started running downtown and several museums in the Atlanta area have recently undergone renovations and updates. Despite the new digs, he may have some serious competition though, as Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris and Diddy have all opened eateries in the surrounding area.
