Aug 5, 2014 | Contributor: Nicolle Monico I recently went to Las Vegas for a girl’s weekend getaway. And upon return, friends kept asking what the best part of the trip was. I’m a little embarrassed to say that it was the food, only because we had amazing accommodations, enjoyed our fair share of poolside libations and ended our nights dancing in the city’s best clubs. Yet, those things will always be a part of the Vegas experience. ... Read More |
Aug 4, 2014 | Contributor: Nicolle Monico Las Vegas is endlessly busy; the constant noise of slot machines buzzing in casinos, young party scenesters hitting pool parties and nightclubs, and travelers joyfully snapping shots of the bright city (with drink in hand) on their smartphones—it is always alive with excitement. While these are some of the reasons people visit, it can also be pretty draining. ... Read More |
Aug 1, 2014 | Contributor: Donald Herrera-Fairbairn | 1 Comment As the rare Italian, blueberry-infused beer slid flavorfully to the back of my throat, the cicerone for Public House at The Venetian in Las Vegas described the undeniably unique and especially bold flavors of the aptly named My Blueberry Nightmare. Hints of oak barrel aging and a spicy kick from hot chili confused my taste buds unlike any beverage I've ever experienced before. Imagine expecting a semi-sweet brew only to be confronted with a savory bitter flavor followed up by a punch of heat and a tart blueberry finish. It was nowhere near what I expected, yet I ended up thoroughly enjoying the new combination of tastes, which now stands as a perfect analogy for my entire trip to Las Vegas. ... Read More |

May 6, 2014 | Contributor: Donald Herrera-Fairbairn Slated for an opening in 2016 at the same time as the new 20,000-seat arena on the Las Vegas Strip, MGM Resorts International will be installing a park that will link together Monte Carlo and New York-New York. In name, a "park" on the Strip might sound like a far-too subdued place for the surrounding area, but, as Vegas goes, The Park isn't going to be anything like the playground-toting grassy acreage of land near your home. ...
