Nov 22, 2012 | Contributor: Nicolle Keogh The fourth fragrance by Guess targets a demographic that its luxury fragrance sector hasn't yet tapped. Guess Girl is aimed at an early-20s woman, with a young and flirty eau to prove it. The juice is described as a fruity floral with top notes of raspberry nectar, melon and bargamont mist, a heart of Brazilian Paradise orchid, Provence acacia flower and lily, and a base of Australian sandalwood and Madagascar vanilla. Available in three sizes from $40 to $62, industry sources expect Guess Girl to do about $25 million in net sales globally.... Read More |

Nov 19, 2012 | Contributor: Nicolle Keogh While skincare is taking off in Asia and jewelry continues to excel in Europe, the Middle East now has reason to celebrate. The luxury fragrance industry is booming in the Middle East, according to a recent article on WWD that explains that consumers in that part of the world use high amounts of fragrance on a daily basis. With that knowledge, prestige fragrance brands are now introducing scents specifically with Middle Eastern consumers in mind, using exotic ingredients as creative inspiration.... Read More |
Nov 14, 2012 | Contributor: Nicolle Keogh Vince Camuto has long been known for his work in the luxury fashion market. As a top women’s footwear designer, he’s probably best recognized for co-founding and establishing Nine West as a leading women’s fashion brand. After working with labels like BCBG Max Azria, Tory Burch, Lucky Brand and Jessica Simpson under his business the Camuto Group, it’s safe to say the entrepreneur is a mogul in the style industry. Now producing shoes, handbags, clothing, watches and other accessories under the Camuto Group, the brand just added its first fragrance for women to its extensive repertoire.... Read More |
Nov 6, 2012 | Contributor: Nicolle Keogh One reason why we love Marni is that from season to season, the fashion house always knows what it’s doing to stay on top of (and even create) the trends. This year, we’re learning that this characteristic will be taken off the runway and onto beauty counters in the form of the luxury brand’s first fragrance for women. With this new project, the Italian design house that is known for innovation and new ideas gets to take its creativity to a new level. Marni’s main goal is to meet the satisfaction of their consumers— and so far, it sounds like the brand knows just how to do that.... Read More |

Oct 26, 2012 | Contributor: Nicolle Keogh In recent fashion news, the same luxury fragrance licensee that is responsible for the new Just Cavalli scent that we covered last week is now parting ways with one of its other clients. In a joint statement, Coty BV and Karl Lagerfeld said that they would end their fragrance partnership, though Coty will still be able to sell Lagerfeld's fragrances under the label. Those include the unisex fragrances in the Kapsule collection and the women's scent called Karleidoscope. Pier Paolo Righi, Lagerfeld's chief executive officer, said that the designer's new partnership, which is already established, will be announced shortly.... Read More |

While many of these products are dark and eerie, they’re luxe, nonetheless. Oct 10, 2012 | Contributor: Nicolle Keogh A new collection of luxury jewelry by Lisa Hoffman confirms our suspicion of a growing trend in the accessories industry: fragrance jewelry is on the rise. The founder and president of her namesake beauty brand partnered with jeweler Tom Binns to release a new line of scented pieces. The fact that there’s no clear section for baubles like these in department stores may be confusing to the marketplace because they cross boundaries— but Hoffman has high hopes that her new line will be successful in helping engage fragrance customers with jewelry, and vise versa....
