After releasing the new 718 Boxster S, Porsche sought to answer one question: "What is the best way to measure driving pleasure?" To find their answer, they placed four different people in the new vehicle, with a professional driver, and monitored their heart rates throughout the drive. As the ride commenced, riders became more visibly excited and the heart rate monitors jumped to over 180 beats per minute, which is the equivalent to the maximum heart rate for a healthy person doing vigorous cardiovascular exercise. If the car gets your heart rate that high while you're riding in it, we can only imagine what driving it must be like.
