Yesterday just before the presentation of the Chanel Métiers d'Art collection, Karl Lagerfeld presented his Once and Forever film starring Kristen Stewart. The short, which has been on our radar since this summer, stars Stewart as a young actress who’s been cast to play Coco Chanel for a biopic (it’s all very meta). In the 11-minute clip she sings, dances, speaks French and picks fights with the cast and crew while being a general nuisance on set. With all the foul language, backtalk and attitude, it’s almost like watching Stewart play a characterized version of herself, but she seems to be having a great time with it. It’s pretty clear why Lagerfeld counts the actress among one of his current favorites. The film also features Chanel muses Geraldine Chaplin, Jamie Bochert, Amanda Harlech and Baptiste Giabiconi who play Stewart’s biopic co-stars.
