We don’t really know what to call Kokomo Ailand. Part luxury yacht and part private island (plus a dash of five-star resort), the floating design looks like nothing we’ve seen before. The creative vision of Migaloo Submarines—the creator of luxury submersible yachts that James Bond villains would literally kill for—Kokomo rises from the water thanks to semi-submerged platforms.
As you can see from the renderings, the entire structure is actually quite large. Clients can customize it to fit their every whim—from the overall size and shape to the included features—but based on the concept design, we can’t think of what it might be missing. At nearly 384 feet long, the vessel includes an owner’s penthouse that rises 262 feet above sea level, and features a glass-bottomed Jacuzzi and two elevators.
There is also a “jungle deck with palm trees and vertical gardens,” a beach deck that features an outdoor grilling area, tons of al fresco dining options (plus an underwater one), a spa deck, waterfalls and pools, two beach clubs (including a gym), an outdoor theater and stage, and finally, a helipad and tons of space for tenders and water toys. And oh yeah, there’s also a shark-feeding station, because of course there is.
According to Business Insider, Kokomo will have eight engines that can take it to eight knots (around nine miles per hour). Though Migaloo hasn’t yet received any orders since released the information two weeks ago, they promise that the design is ready to be put into production as soon as purchased.
