GRAMMY Artist Meghan Trainor Utopia of the Seas Vacation

Utopia of the Seas

When Royal Caribbean International selected GRAMMY-winning artist Meghan Trainor as the godmother of their newest Utopia of the Seas, they invited her and her family to join other invited guests on the 'Biggest Weekend Cruise Ever."

Besides her husband and sons joining in on the fun, her mother and brother also enjoyed the 3-night roundtrip cruise from Orlando, Florida to A Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Trainor and her husband and sons appreciated the roominess of their well-appointed Aqua Theater viewing suite. While Trainor performed all of her award-winning hit songs at the outdoor Aqua Theater, her family watched from the comfort of their suite's wraparound terrace.

She mentioned them often, waved to them, and shared her appreciation for Royal Caribbean International for inviting them on their first family cruise vacation together.

The naming ceremony took place on Monday, July 15, at Port Canaveral (Orlando), where the ship will sail on shorter 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday getaway cruises starting on July 19, 2024.

Known for delivering memorable vacations for 50 years, Royal Caribbean kicked off the ceremony with DJ Lucy and the legendary Rev Run (Run-D.M.C.) and DJ Ruckus spinning their favorite tunes on their turntables.

There was not one empty seat at the ship's official naming party attended by Royal Caribbean executives Jason Liberty President and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group and Michael Bayley, President and CEO, Royal Caribbean International.

A high note of the event was when Trainor performed her debut single 'All About That Bass' live for the invited audience.

Also in attendance were more than 50 of Trainor's fans and their guests. These lucky cruisers received a complimentary cruise and attended her concert onboard. All they had to do to win was follow @royalcaribbean on Instagram, tag a plus one in the comments and use the hashtags #utopiaoftheseas and #sweepstakes.

“We set out to create a utopian playground at sea that delivers the perfect short getaway and ultimate vacation,” said Jason Liberty. “I’m immensely proud of our dream team that turned this vision into reality. Utopia of the Seas embodies our commitment to push boundaries and deliver the best vacation experiences responsibly.”

Royal Railway

One of the new 40 ways to dine, drink and party, includes the Royal Railway at Utopia Station. It's the first-of-its-kind immersive culinary experience with movement, sound, and even a friendly bandit entertaining diners during the adventure.

No other cruise line has a rail car dining experience at sea. Guests enjoy a five-course curated menu while rolling along different scenic destinations.

One feels as if they are on an elegant Orient Express train dining car. Limited to around 50 guests, each table has a viewing window where guests can view iconic landscapes.

'It's a very family-friendly experience. We can have daytime activations that include rolling along Napa Valley or Scotland, and we will also have holiday theme train experiences during Halloween and Christmas with a Polar Express,' said a Royal Caribbean spokesperson.

A Perfect Day at CocoCay

Once the ship docks at Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas, passengers are free to zip line to three different stations, slide down 14 different waterslides, and swim in the largest freshwater pool in The Bahamas.

Guests can dine with their toes in the sand, shop for Caribbean-themed souvenirs, swim up to a bar for a Bahama Mama or a glass of champagne.

“Every day on Utopia will feel like the weekend. The unmatched energy and ways to make memories – between the pools, thrills and more and our award-winning Perfect Day at CocoCay – will bring friends and families together on a short getaway like never before,” said Michael Bayley. “This epic party, the vacation of celebrations, is just getting started!”

Adults can also retreat to the adults-only, Hideaway Beach to enjoy private cabanas with steps into an exclusive pool. Soak up the sun on the private beach and swim in the warm turquoise water. It's a short walk from the ship's pier or guests can take a special Hideaway electric shuttle to this exclusive area.

Swim in the infinity pool, listen to a live DJ, sip a cool and refreshing beverage at one of the bars, and enjoy various venues for a snack or lunch time dining.
