Nick Offerman and Lagavulin are back and this time it’s for a mesmerizing 45-minute-long video in which the actor sits silently by a crackling fire, calmly sipping some 16-year-old single malt Scotch. The Yule Log video is the latest My Tales of Whisky collaboration between Offerman and the Irish distillery, and thanks to his Ron Swanson-like stoic manliness, it’s by far the best.
Considering we would watch Offerman do anything for an indeterminate amount of time, it’s no surprise that this video is hypnotizing. Don’t miss the 20-minute mark when he realizes he’s finished the glass, briefly contemplates the meaning of life before refilling and crossing his legs like a gentleman, giving a satisfied sigh. There’s an interesting intimacy that comes from staring into his all-knowing eyes and we’ve never wanted whisky more. Well done, Lagavulin.
