Representing the height of luxury and the most elevated release in Chivas Regal’s history, this month the spirits brand unveiled The Icon at the top of the famed Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The ultra-prestige Scotch whisky is a unique blend of the rarest and oldest whiskies available. Master blender Colin Scott personally selected each, sourcing them from more than 20 Scottish distilleries—some that no longer even exist.
The Icon’s rarest malts come from Strathisla—the Scottish Highlands’ oldest continuously-operating distillery—and its single malts are from Longmorn and Glen Keith. The hand-blown and etched decanter is by Dartington Crystal, and is topped with a signature luckenbooth (a Celtic symbol of love) stopper.
Though it's the pinnacle of the brand’s range, the inaugural issue Chivas Regal The Icon comes at a pretty reasonable price. A 40% ABV, 70cl bottle retails for $3,500 and will be sold exclusively from Dubai Travel Retail through September before its global release, after which it will be available through Global Travel Retail.
