It’s the first day of April, and you know what that entails. You’re probably tired of all the tricks going around, but we just had to share this one last “prank” with you. It’s a sweet take on the April Fools' tradition that warmed our hearts and might just melt yours too.
As a pre-April Fools' Day prank, Mediocre Films teamed up with Prank It FWD and celebrity Chef and Spiritual Coach Jesse Brune (who can be spotted on OWN’s Home Made Simple) to transform a Glendale homeless shelter into a five-star restaurant for the day. 50 surprised prank-ees (which is actually not a word, but we’re going with it), were treated to filet mignon, dessert and a gift bag, while being waited on by servers and serenaded by a string quartet in the elegantly decorated shelter. A few people expressed their gratitude and shared that they had never had filet mignon before.
This touching video is sure to go viral, and with a good cause — Prank It FWD will donate a dollar for every 1,000 views. So give it a watch and make sure to share, playing the video is free and it goes to a good cause! It just goes to show that some serious good can come out of this silly holiday.
