Petition With 118K Signatures Urges Victoria's Secret to Make Mastectomy "Survivor Bras"

One Virginia woman's idea of a Fantasy Bra is much different than the $2.5 million stunner that Victoria’s Secret angel Alessandra Ambrosio wore down the runway a few months ago. After getting 118,000 supporting signatures, Allana Maiden and her mother, Debbie Barrett, approached Victoria’s Secret this morning with their proposition for the luxury brand to make special bras for breast cancer survivors. Victoria’s Secret responded to the “survivor bra” petition by inviting the mother/daughter duo to discuss the idea further at the Ohio headquarters of Limited Brands (Victoria’s Secret’s parent company) after Maiden and Barrett presented the signatures to Tammy Roberts Myers, Vice President of External Communications for the company, earlier today. No word yet on when the meeting will take place, but we’ll be sure to report updates on the story as it progresses, as we’re sure this is a project that women all over the world could benefit from.
