Louis Vuitton hasn't yet decided who will replace Marc Jacobs as creative director, according to LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault. The luxury conglomerate's chairman Bernard Arnault, insists there has been little discussion about who will take over as creative director of its signature fashion house, Louis Vuitton, now that Jacobs is leaving to focus on his own eponymous fashion label.

He told WWD: "No decision is done. We have to, after the show, think and decide. But no decision will be made immediately."

Jacobs, 50, presented his final show for Louis Vuitton at Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday, but he reveals that he and business partner Robert Duffy didn't make the decision to leave until very recently. He recalled: "Mr. Arnault left it to Robert and me. Two weeks ago when I arrived back in Paris, he said, 'The future of Marc Jacobs will require so much of your and Robert's attention that at some point you will have to decide when you will make it your last show.' But he left it to us to decide."

The acclaimed fashion designer will continue to work with LMVH and Bernard as the company owns a majority stake in his label. Marc has been credited with making Louis Vuitton one of the top fashion brands in the world during his 16 year career with the company.
