Keira Knightley might have just debuted in her biggest role to date? and we?re not talking about Anna Karenina. The stunning Brit beauty just took on the fashion world?s most prestigious character: none other than Miss Coco Chanel. Following in the footsteps of other actresses like Shirley MacLaine and Audrey Tautou who have also previously channeled the luxury fashion icon, Knightley embodies the legendary designer in a fashion film directed by Karl Lagerfeld. This is just a sneak peek of the entire film, but the finished product will be released just in time for the 100th Anniversary of the opening of the first Chanel boutique in the French seaside of Deauville. Seeing as Knightley is the face of the label?s Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, we couldn?t think of anyone more fit to play the part. And to make this clip even more high fashion, other industry favorites like models Stella Tenant and Lindsey Wixson, as well as French actress Clotilde Hesme, also make appearances in Lagerfeld?s masterpiece. The entire film will stream live on Chanel?s website May 8.
