With its broad roster of activities, warm team, and immersive wildlife adventures, it is an excellent lodge for families of all ages. And finally, on the Ecuador and Galapagos Explorer itinerary, guests will spend a full week island hopping aboard Ecoventura’s Origin boat for with shore excursions, snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, and iconic wildlife viewing. Norway Wildflower Peak Season
Originally built in Norway in 1914, the S/Y Framstig was discovered and rebuilt in the 1970s by five adventurers from the island community of Flemsøy. After completely refurbished—rigged with two masts and brand-new sails—the S/Y Framstig was taken on a three-year voyage across the oceans. Svein Flem, one of the five original builders, keeps the adventure of the Framstig alive by taking the ship through scenic sails across Norway’s dramatic coastline for intrepid climbers, hikers, skiers, and kayakers. The S/Y Framstig is a certified passenger ship holding all required safety equipment and amenities with 11 bunks, kitchen and galley, and bathroom. The ship is privately chartered, creating an exclusive experience aboard this historic sailboat.
The warm, summer temperatures in August makes this time of year peak flowering time for the Norway wildflowers. With Niarra Travel, guests can sail Norway’s lesser-known waterways aboard a private yacht, the S/Y Framstig, for incomparable views of the region’s wildflower peak season. From the port town of Ålesund, guests will board the Framstig for a week-long voyage. Stops at the island of Runde boast raucous birdlife and endless wildflower fields for a relaxing yet adventure-filled stopover before a 5,131 foot hike up the Sunnmøre Alps with plenty of local cuisines.
