The term luxury means different things to different people. For some it's about the experience of being waited on hand and foot, for others it's all about the comfort and elegance of their accommodation. It's often hard to find a destination that is right for you. Now that it's the middle of winter, there is no better time to choose a vacation destination. Here are three amazing choices for your jetsetting adventures in 2017:

Constance Moofushi, Maldives

Constance Moofushi is an all-inclusive resort that boasts one of the most wonderful private airport lounges around. This foresight helps it establish its luxury feel before you and your fellow guests climb aboard the Seaplane to take you to the small, private island. While the property is very chic, there is still a lovely, casual air about the place, making it very easy to relax. The resort is also only a half an hour away from some of the world’s most sought-after diving spots.

The 110 rustic guestrooms have an arty level of sophistication. They are equipped with minibars with a choice of high-class tipples, state-of-the-art entertainment systems, and magnificent sea views. Constance Moofushi has previously been described as “a lively and well-price barefoot resort,” which sums the area up well. If you want a getaway that provides a luxury mix of fine dining, marine life and water sports, there is nowhere better or more beautiful.

Excellence Riviera Cancun, Mexico

With almost ten percent of the hotels in the country being listed as "luxury," Mexico has long been seen as a prime getaway destination. While popular with the young party crowd, the country has plenty of choices for a more refined holiday.

With a five-star rating on TripAdvisor, one happy reviewer describes Excellence Riviera Cancun as “heaven on Earth.” The 440-room resort certainly does live up to its name. It offers guests all the luxury you would expect from a premium chain. The property includes six pools, an array of activities, and a host of extravagant dining options. Considering this is an all-inclusive resort, the food is particularly good. The resort also features spa facilities with wonderful pools and beachside treatment huts.

Meanwhile, the "standard" suites feature tasteful modern décor, marble bathrooms, separate showers, and jetted tubs. The larger duplex suites offer private rooftop plunge pools in addition to the normal amenities. While this adult-oriented resort is great for couples, those with kids may want to consider the more family-friendly Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa. This resort offers similar amenities and has activities for children, but is arguably less stylish.

There is also a kitchen that comes full of food and cutlery. Add wet bars and jaw-dropping views and you have a holiday that dreams are made of. Whether you just want to relax, or take part in a host of activities, there is something for everyone.
