On thursdays during the school year the Ambassador hosts an international night, and since SF is such a worldly city it pulls in a big crowd. Last time I went the power kept going out, but everyone kept partying anyways...probably because of the dirt-cheap drink specials. One of the owners of this place recently opened a bar down in SOMA too, its called Bloodhound if that side of market is more your scene!
