Being a watercolor artist and from New England  I have found my winter paridise its the Destin ,Marimar beach Fort walton  here in florida talking with some of the lovely seinors I have met here from northern states they tell me its been there secret destination for years and they keep coming back and I can see why its beautiful and quiet and reserved its far different than other spots in florida like the rat race on the gold coast and your hours away from that mess if your young and looking for action I suggest you go to miami if you want to enjoy quiet empty beaches with a handfull of people than this is your place no wonder celebrities like britney spears and others have condos whether your a millionare or blue collar family man your all thrown together here and nobody cares who you are all kinda nice in this crazy world they call it the emerald coast for a reason the water is emerald green the sand here is the whitest sugar sand anywhere including the carribean its resturaunts feature the finest gulf seafood I even caught my own pompano off the beaches here if you like to fish boy are you in the right spot fishing is terrific and  for the lady in the house and the ocasional rainy day big name shopping outlets also some of the finest military air museums in the world including us air force base the largest in america the naval air station in pensacola home of the world famous BLUE ANGELS its just a great place the beaches are some of the most beatifull I have ever seen the people are so layed back and freindly here too condo rentals range from high class destiny east and west on the beach (brittanys spears)hangout gated community to the chateau lamur family affordable where I STAY its only 300 ydrs from destiny east and west scenic highway 98 there is great resturaunts here pompano joes right on the beach capt daves and kenny ds a small cajon resturaunt the owner owned a bar new orleans and brought its flavor here well I have to go now because I could write about this place all day and I have a tan to get see you down here
