This spring, the long-awaited Wardman Tower in DC will finally open to new residents. Over the past few years developer JBG and NASH, the North American arm of Japanese developer Seksui House, have been renovating the property to create 32 luxury condominiums. Built in 1928 by Harry Wardman, it’s one of the most iconic buildings in the area and has a rich history—three former US president including Dwight D. Eisenhower, Lyndon Johnson and Herbert Hoover, and stars like Marlene Dietrich have called the Wardman Tower home.
Residences will be priced from $3 million to $9 million—some of the most expensive in the city. Each unit will range from 2,200 square feet for two bedroom condos to 4,600-square-foot penthouses. The layout is designed to take advantage of the views with entertaining spaces like the living room, dining room and gallery rooms focused at the ends of the home. Each residence will be outfitted with oak panel flooring, crown molding, picture windows, custom cabinetry, marble sinks and backsplashes, stainless steel appliances, and a kitchen island and breakfast bar.
Owners will enjoy amenities like a full-time concierge, full-time staff members, doormen, valets and porter services. The property will also include two clubrooms, a fitness center with yoga studio and training room, storage spaces, a catering kitchen, an English garden, and a rooftop terrace with outdoor kitchen. Wardman Tower is also close to the Woodley Park Zoo, and several metro stations and public transit routes. Residences are currently available for purchase from McWilliams & Ballard.
