Those in-the-know are aware that right now is the best time to visit St. Barths. The warm weather lasts until around April and hurricane season doesn’t visit the island until July. With temperatures floating around the mid-80s during the day and the high 60s in the evenings, we’re definitely all for a winter vacay this month.
Boasting one of only a handful of the island’s hotels with a beachfront location, Le Sereno’s three $10 million villas offer the kind of St. Barths vacation that you’ve been dreaming of. The family-owned and operated property is home to three four-bedroom residences located on the beach at Grand Cul de Sac. The 7,000-square-foot villas sit on private half-acre gardens overlooking the ocean.
Inside, the rooms are furnished and designed by Christian Liaigre, and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors allow plenty of natural light to flood the living room. Liaigre is one of the most recognized names in design today, and previously worked on the private residences of Karl Lagerfeld, Calvin Klein, Rupert Murdoch, Kenzo Takada and Adolfo Dominguez.
Along with a dining room and full kitchen, the villas include a private pool, 24-hour room service, bar, complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen LCD TVs and air conditioning. If you’re looking to meet your neighbors, the main hotel offers its own swimming pool, restaurant, spa pavilion and sundeck perfect for a sunset cocktail with new friends. The fine dining restaurant serves French fare with Asian influences, while mixing in local ingredients and flavors. If you prefer in-villa dining, that option is available upon request.
Can’t you just picture yourself sitting on your private patio, robe wrapped around you with a coffee in hand? Now that’s the life. After February 15, Le Sereno Villas will have a three-night minimum for stays, and rates start at around $1,682 per night.
