Winning Unilever Middle East and North Africa's Sustainable Living Plan Award for 2013, Dubai's coordinated efforts to promote sustainable living have lead to a softer footprint and the perfect opportunity to visit abroad for those who are concerned with counting carbon.
The civic body has been awarded the Sustainable Living Plan Award 2013, constituted by Unilever Middle East and North Africa for supporting sustainability projects in Dubai, said officials at the civic body.
Eng Redha Salaman, Director, Public Health& safety Department received the award for Dubai Municipality from Arijit Ghose, Managing Director, Unilever Gulf, in a programme held in Dubai recently.
After receiving award Eng Redha Salaman said Dubai Municipality has always promoted and supported initiatives from the private sector which aims to boost Dubai’s efforts to ensure sustainable development.
