Fashion-forward Barcelona is doing what it can to stay at the forefront of fashionista's minds when referencing the latest and greatest the fashion industry has to offer. In this case, Barcelona is showing off it knows its stuff in regards to sustainable clothing materials and footprint-reducing fashion.

Ethical sustainable fashion is the latest craze among all responsible forward fashion thinkers of today. Like Canada, which is currently featuring its sixth Eco Fashion Week in Vancouver, Spain is also gearing up for its third episode of green-themed sartorial celebration in Barcelona.

Part of the Biocultura fair, the event titled ‘Ecofashion Showroom’ aims to serve both as a business and sales promotion platform as well as a meeting point for sustainable fashion designers, suppliers and brands.

The event will feature runway creations from nearly seven eco-friendly European textile brands, ecological firms and independent designers, such as Foxfibre, Green lifestyle, Humus, PureGreen, Cristina Salguero, Homeonearth  as well as Raval and Biobuu.
