Hilton Dallas is getting a new Hilton-chain hotel, Homewood Suites, which is being built to offer guests all the comforts of home while they're travelling to the Texas city. Complete with full kitchens, these are looking to be great hotel rooms for those who are going to be staying in Dallas a while, letting you maintain at least a bit of your normal at-home routine.
Homewood Suites Dallas Downtown, which is taking shape inside a formerly vacant office building, is set to open this fall.
The hotel, featuring 130 suites with kitchens and full-size appliances, will be the only property in the Hilton family in downtown Dallas. It’s also the first hotel to open downtown since the city-owned Omni Dallas Hotel in 2011.
The Homewood Suites hotel, 1025 Elm St., will occupy a space built in the 1920s that was formerly the United Fidelity Life Insurance Building.
In 2011, Irving-based Lowen Hospitality Management bought the property out of foreclosure after it sat vacant for more than a decade. Read More on dallasnews.com
