Tom Fox The Dallas Zoo required the services of the fire department, as some of their visitors became trapped on a train. Fortunately for everyone involved every one of the passengers was successfully retrieved. The total number of persons trapped was about 100.
Update, 4:43 p.m.: Dallas Fire Rescue spokesman Jason Evans said that all passengers have been successfully removed from the train.
About 100 people were stuck due to an unspecified malfunction, Evans said. They were removed from the train using five extension ladders. No one was injured.
Update, 4:30 p.m.: Footage from the FOX 4 helicopter shows the train stuck 20 feet or so from the ground. It does not appear to be above any animal habitats.
