Last week, Sofitel opened its second hotel in Singapore on Sentosa Island. The 211-room property features suites, villas, a 108-foot swimming pool, four food and beverage options, the world's largest So SPA and 14,000-square-feet of meeting and events space.
"The Sofitel brand brings to Sentosa its distinctive French flair embodied in the resort's artful decor, quality of service and culinary expertise. We are pleased to see how Sofitel has managed to blend the historical architectural accents of the colonial buildings with its contemporary interiors and lush landscape, making it an endearing sanctuary for our guests," says Susan Ang, Divisional Director, Island Investment & Branding, Sentosa Development Corporation.
Considered one of the world’s best spa brands, Sofitel’s So SPA is home to 20 treatment rooms, dedicated females-only area and a Jacuzzi section. It also holds the only Mud Pool in Singapore which allows guests to renew and restore glow to their skin with New Zealand volcanic mud. Aside from pampering travelers can also maintain their health regimen at the fitness center which boasts on-site trainers and special packages for promoting well-being.
The hotel’s dining venues include Kwee Zeen, a casual, yet upscale all-day dining restaurant serving a selection of Asian, Western and French cuisines. On Sundays, the Champagne brunch comes with 16 different ateliers ranging from gallery of foie gras, live seafood, tandoor & Chinese, fromage & charcuteries and a dessert trolley. Flown-in specialties may include lobsters from Boston, Alaskan king crabs, caviar, fresh oysters and sea urchin.
Guestrooms begin at around USD $325 a night on weekdays.
