One of Asia’s biggest footwear and accessory retailers, On Pedder, just opened a new mega-store in Singapore’s Scotts Square. The concept store, Pedder on Scotts, is the brand’s biggest and covers the mall’s entire second floor, a staggering 20,000 square feet. Offering men’s, women’s and children’s footwear, they carry a wide variety of brands, from the most luxurious and hard-to-find designers, to popular mainstays. In the coming months they’ll be rotating in pop-up shops to showcase limited-edition collaborations and up-and-coming labels.
The store has been divided into five separate sections: On Pedder which will house luxury women’s designers such as Aquazzura, Nicholas Kirkwood and Sophia Webster; On Pedder Men with high-end names like Alexander Wang, Giuseppe Zanotti and Common Projects; and New Generation, an area for more affordable contemporary brands like Sam Edelman. Weekend & Sports will feature sandals and flip slops from Havaianas and Birkenstock and Cool Kids, boasts luxury label children’s shoes. In the future there will be additional sections for the pop-up shops and art exhibitions. The retailer even included a café on the premises for shoppers.
Designer Nicholas Kirkwood attended the store’s opening event earlier this month and presented his 10-year anniversary capsule collection. Over the years On Pedder has partnered with designers like Victoria Beckham, Gianvito Rossi, Charlotte Olympia, Sophia Webster and Edgardo Osorio of Aquazzura to hold similar special appearances and events in their stores. Over the next few months designers will continue to make appearances at the new Scotts location, and will include names like Paul Andrew, René Caovilla, and Athletic Propulsion Labs co-founders Adam and Ryan Goldston.
