Scottsdale, AZ may not be the hub of all popular events, but this January, if you are a true Automobile-buff, then you will probably be there. Barret-Jackson, the specialty automobile collector is holding an auction to shame all auctions. It will Include fifty of the world’s most valuable and sought-after automobiles. The hand-selected vehicles are set to sell on Saturday, January 13th-20th. The Salon Collection ranges from elite prototypes to muscle cars to classics.
In addition, Carroll Shelby will be honored, with an auction selling nearly 30 of his automobiles. Even the rarest Shelby Mustang in existence, “The Green Hornet” will be for sale; this car, among other Hollywood icons, like the original Batmobile, will be featured at the auction. Craig Jackson, Chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson asserts that “the caliber of vehicles crossing our auction block this year…could be the greatest selection of cars ever sold at one auction in history.”
To hype up the auction, the company plans on hosting a Barrett-Jackson Night at the Pavilions on January 12th. In addition to that event, January 14th at 7pm will see guest enjoying hors d’oevres, Neiman Marcus fashions, and live music. SPEED will broadcast nearly forty live hours of the event, for those who aren’t able to make it all the way to the auction.
