Palladino’s Italian restaurant and steakhouse from Chef Luke Palladino, opens its doors tonight at 1934 East Passyunk Avenue in the former Colombo’s building. Chef Palladino owns restaurants throughout New Jersey including Luke’s Kitchen & Marketplace, LP Steak and Luke Palladino Seasonal Italian.
Seating 80 guests indoors and 40 more on the patio, the eatery will begin with dinner and late-night service only but has plans to offer brunch and lunch in the coming weeks. Currently, the menu showcases Italian fare with an emphasis on seafood, pastas and wood-fired steak under the direction of Chef de cuisine Eddy Affinito.
Diners can choose from items such as Truffled Grissini with housemade breadsticks brushed with white truffle butter, grated Parmigiano and wrapped in prosciutto; Porcini Pappardelle made with Oxtail ragu, horseradish, sunchoke and pine nut gremolata; and a 16-ounce all natural Dunedin veal chop with wild mushroom, prosciutto and sage crema. A separate bar menu offers specialty cocktails, wine, beer and more casual fare such as potato skins, a wood-grilled burger, calamari and charcuterie plates.
Palladino’s is accepting online reservations and is open from 5 p.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and Friday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m (closed on Christmas Day).
