Philadelphia Events: The Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals proudly presents the 4th Annual Good Dog Gala and the 1st Annual Bad Dog Ball charity events on November 6, 2010, both at the Loews Philadelphia luxury hotel.
The Good Dog Gala honors those individuals and corporations who are dedicated to the cause of animal welfare in Philadelphia, while raising money for the thousands of abused and abandoned animals rescued each year by the PSPCA. The Good Dog Gala typically hosts around 400 guests, along with 100 dogs. Sponsors, media, honorees and VIPs enjoy an evening of cocktails, hors d?oeuvres, dinner, an awards program and a silent auction. In 2009, the Good Dog Gala raised more than $140,000.00 to shelter and provide care for abused and abandoned animals in Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Tickets are $200.00 for individuals (which includes the Bad Dog Ball after party), or $1,800.00 for a table of 10.
New in 2010, the Bad Dog Ball is a cocktail party and fundraiser held on the same night and location as the Good Dog Gala; it is the "after-party with attitude" to complement the more formal Gala. Aimed at young professionals dedicated to philanthropy, the Ball is hosted by the Young Friends of the Pennsylvania SPCA. It introduces guests to the lifesaving work of the PSPCA, while they enjoy a party featuring hors d?oeuvres, cocktails, a live DJ, dancing, photo ops, raffle prizes and more. Best of all, guests are welcome to bring their dogs (good and bad) to party the night away!
